Privacy

You sign in with Apple, Google, or email. You tell us your age, gender, and a display name during setup. After that, the only thing we collect is what you choose to write inside the app — your answers, the AI reports built from them, and anything you post to the community.

We do not run third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell your data. We do not train AI models on your answers. You can export everything you wrote, and you can delete your account from inside the app — when you do, your data is gone.

Only these things, and only when you give them to us:

• Sign-in. The user ID from your auth provider (Apple, Google, or email-and-password). We never see your password.
• Profile basics. Age, gender, and the display name you chose during setup. These help the AI guide write to you, not at you.
• Your answers. The text and choices you make inside a decision module.
• AI-generated reports. The summary the AI guide writes from your answers.
• Optional community posts. If you post a story, that post and your replies — under your name or anonymously, your choice.
• Basic technical logs. The minimum needed to keep the app working: error reports, request timing, and which app version you used. No advertising identifiers.

To be clear about the things we deliberately said no to:

• No third-party analytics SDKs sending your behaviour to other companies.
• No advertising identifiers. No ad tracking.
• No background location.
• No microphone or camera, ever.
• No contacts, calendar, or photos.
• No marketing emails. We don’t have a marketing list.
• No selling, renting, or sharing your data with data brokers.

Your data lives in a Supabase Postgres database, in a Switzerland-region project. Every table is protected with row-level security — your rows are accessible only by you, and (in couple mode) only the specific report rows are visible to your partner.

Our compute runs on Cloudflare Workers. The AI guide is served through our own AI proxy, also on Cloudflare. Your phone never talks directly to an AI provider; everything goes through our server, and that server does not pass your text to anyone for training.

This is the most sensitive part of the product, so the rule is simple:

• Each partner’s raw answers stay private. Your partner never sees what you typed.
• Only the synthesized report is shared. The AI guide writes one report that summarizes where you align, where you don’t, and what’s worth talking about — without quoting either of you verbatim.
• You can leave at any time. If you withdraw from a couple session, your half of the data is removed from the shared report.

The AI guide is a large language model running behind our own server. When you answer a question, your text is sent to the model only to generate the next question or the final report. We do not store your answers with the model provider, and your text is not used to train or fine-tune any model.

The model is a tool, not a therapist. Reports are best read as a starting point for a conversation with a human you trust.

Inside the app you can:

• Export your data as a JSON file — every answer, every report, every post.
• Delete any single item — an answer, a report, a community post or reply.
• Delete your whole account. One tap in Settings. We remove your data from our database; backups roll off within 30 days.

If you live somewhere with stronger rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and similar), you also have the right to ask us what we hold, correct it, restrict our use of it, or complain to a regulator. Email privacy@3am.buzz and we’ll respond within 30 days.

3AM is for adults. The questions inside the app — children, breakups, relocation, big money — are not appropriate for minors. You must be 18 or older to use 3AM. If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will delete it.

This website (3am.buzz) sets a single first-party cookie, locale_pref, only after you pick a language manually. It exists to stop the browser-language detection from redirecting you again later. No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies, no analytics pixels.

The mobile app uses one small piece of local storage to keep you signed in. That’s it.

If we change anything material, we’ll update the date at the top and notify you in the app the next time you open it. If a change reduces your privacy, we’ll ask for your consent before it takes effect for you.
